Upper Extremity Orthotics
Each orthosis is fitted following the doctor’s prescription and modified or custom fabricated for the specific needs of the patient.
Humeral Fracture Brace
Usually fit after a rigid splint is removed following a humeral fracture, a humeral fracture brace compresses the upper arm in a rigid shell in order to stabilize the humerus while healing.
An elbow orthosis consist of rigid bars or supports and a joint at the elbow to support and possibly limit motion in the elbow.
Wrist Hand Orthosis or WHO
Wrist splints align and support the wrist, hand and in some instances the fingers and/or thumb. These are commonly prescribed for carpel tunnel syndrome.
